TITLE:                     Community Development Block Grant Sub-Recipient Agreement between Sarasota County, Florida and the City of North Port, Florida to fund staff salaries for General Services Department, Social Services Division, in the amount of $54,000.

 

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve the Community Development Block Grant Sub-Recipient Agreement between Sarasota County, Florida and the City of North Port, Florida in the amount of $54,000.

 

Background Information

 

The sub-recipient agreement will provide the City of North Port with $54,000 ($52,800 in FY 15-16) in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to be utilized for staff salaries in the General Services Department, Social Services Division. The staff is located at the Family Service Center and provides assistance to low income families and individuals.

 

This is the seventh year the City has received CDBG funding to offset staffing expenses associated when providing assistance to low income families and individuals. The Sarasota County Board of Commissioners has approved the item at their October 11, 2016 meeting.

 

The agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney.
