TITLE:      Community Development Block Grant Sub-recipient Agreement between Sarasota County and the City of North Port to fund staff salaries at the Family Service Center in the amount of $52,800.
 
 
Recommended Action
 
Approve the Subrecipient Agreement between Sarasota County and City of North Port in the amount of $52,800.
 
Background Information
 
The attached Subrecipient Agreement will provide the City of North Port with $52,800 in Community Development Block Grant Funding to be used for staff support salaries in the Social Services Division to assist low income families. The Program Assistants/Case Workers are located at the Family Service Center.
 
This is the fifth year the City has received CDBG funding to offset staffing expenses associated with providing assistance to low income families in North Port.  The Board of Sarasota County Commission is voting on this item at their November 4th meeting.
 
The current agreement, which was approved on November 25, 2013, expires as of October 31, 2014.
