TITLE: Selection of an Executive Search Firm for the Recruitment of a New City Manager
Recommended Action
Provide direction regarding the selection of an executive search firm to commence recruitment of a new City Manager.
Background Information
At the March 7, 2017, City Commission meeting, City Commission directed the City Manager to have Human Resources begin recruiting for a new City Manager; specifically, to solicit proposals from national executive search firms to facilitate the recruitment and selection process. A Request for Professional Services Quote (attached) was posted by the Purchasing Division on March 8, 2017, on DemandStar in addition to being sent directly to several nationally known local government executive search firms. The deadline to submit proposals was 4:00 pm, March 29, 2017. Eight executive search firms submitted proposals (attached). All submittals are listed in order of receipt. Candidates' reimbursement for travel expenses for interviews is not included in the cost.
