TITLE: A seven-year preventive maintenance and repair service agreement with Stryker Medical, a division of Stryker Corporation, for North Port Fire Rescue's new stretcher lifting systems and stretchers at a total cost of $18,600.

Recommended Action

Approve a seven-year preventive maintenance and repair service agreement with Stryker Medical, a division of Stryker Corporation, for North Port Fire Rescue's new stretcher lifting systems and stretchers at a total cost of $18,600.

Background Information

In 2016, Commission approved the purchase of two replacement ambulances from REV RTC, LLC which included the new Stryker Power-Load stretcher lifting systems. The Agreement includes: (1) unlimited service calls (i.e., labor and travel), (2) replacement of the majority of parts, and (3) one annual preventive maintenance inspection by Stryker Medical's "ProCare" field service team personnel. Full payment will be made on execution of this agreement - no further operational costs will be incurred with the exception of non-covered expendable and disposable parts (e.g., mattresses, straps, undercarriage equipment storage netting).

The total cost of the seven-year agreement is $18,600 which will come from existing funds in the Emergency Medical Services budget w...
