Approve Contract No. 2018-35 for the construction of the North Port Aquatic Center to Recreational Design & Construction, Inc, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in the amount of $9,847,336.79 plus a 10% construction contingency of $984,733 for a total amount of $10,832,069.79.


Background Information

This project was to obtain the services of a licensed and qualified Certified General Contractor to provide construction services which include furnishing all the necessary materials and completing all work, labor, transportation, supervision, equipment for the construction included but not limited to: Site preparation, grading, utilities, paving, fencing, pools, bath house and filtration building, electrical, site lighting, landscaping and irrigation. The solicitation was advertised on March 30, 2018. On May 15th, the City received six (6) bid submittals from the following contractors:
