General Information

 

The adoption of the Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) via Ordinance No. 2024-13 and Ordinance 2024-14 resulted in conflicts between the ULDC and City Code Chapter 66, Road and Drainage District. This ordinance amends Article III to eliminate those conflicts including removal of references to Site Development Review and language regarding permitting of signs in the right-of-way. The ordinance also removes language requiring payment of the construction road traffic fee before issuance of a building permit, which requirement is unenforceable as the issuance of a building permit may only be conditioned on compliance with Florida Building Code related requirements.

 

The City Attorney has reviewed Ordinance No. 2024-23 for form and correctness.

The City Commission heard the first reading of Ordinance No. 2024-23 at its Regular Meeting on July 23, 2024, and continued the ordinance as presented to second reading on August 6, 2024.

In accordance with Florida Statutes Section 166.041(4)(a), on July 5,2024, the City timely posted a business impact estimate on the City’s website, before the date the newspaper published notice of this ordinance’s final reading.
