TITLE: Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Approving the Appointments of Richard Vance and Ann Lane, as a Regular Member and an Alternate Member to Serve a First Term on the Environmental Advisory Board From June 9, 2026, Through June 9, 2029.
Recommended Action
Option 1: Approve the appointment of (insert applicant) to serve as a Regular Member and (insert applicant) to serve as an Alternate Member to serve a first term on the Environmental Advisory Board from June 9, 2026, through June 9, 2029.
City Commission Options
Option 1: Approve the appointment of (insert applicant) to serve as a Regular Member and (insert applicant) to serve as an Alternate Member to serve a first term on the Environmental Advisory Board from June 2, 2026, through June 2, 2029.
Background Information
Currently, there are four vacancies on the Environmental Advisory Board for one Regular Member, two Alternates, and one Student. The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk received one application from Richard Vance on May 1, 2026, and one application from Ann Lane on May 14, 2026, for appointment to the Board. Richard Vance and Ann Lane have been residents of North Port for over 6 months. Richard Vance and Ann Lane do not currently serve on any Boards. The applications for Richard Vance and Ann Lane have been submitted for review and consideration.
There are no conflicts to note under Florida Statutes 112.3143.
