TITLE: A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of North Port, Florida, Authorizing the City Commission to Participate in a Joint Meeting With the Sarasota County Commission to Receive, Discuss, and Act Upon Matters of Mutual Interest; Incorporating Recitals; Providing for Severability; and Providing an Effective Date.
Recommended Action
Adopt Resolution 2026-R-30 as presented.
Background Information
Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners requested a Joint Meeting to be held on October 27, 2026, at the R.L. Anderson Building, Commission Chambers, Venice, Florida . According to Section 125.001 Florida Statutes, in order for the meeting to occur, a Resolution must be approved by the City Commission. As a result, the City Clerk has drafted Resolution No. 2026-R-30 for the Commission’s review and consideration.
Resolution No. 2026-R-30 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
