Background Information
The City of North Port remains committed to continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making in service to our residents. To advance this commitment, a cross-Departmental team of five staff members completed specialized Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training through the University of South Florida Corporate Training and applied those methodologies to a focused improvement project.
The team centered their efforts around addressing the problem statement: "Currently, Social Services doesn't have an effective way to track feedback to gather quantifiable, consistent, structured data." Representing various Departments across the organization, this team utilized Lean Six Sigma tools and disciplines to identify inefficiencies; eliminate redundancies; and develop targeted solutions to better serve our community.
This presentation will highlight the team's findings; process improvements identified; and measurable outcomes achieved through their project. This project demonstrates our organization's dedication to operational excellence and evidence-based service delivery.
