TITLE: Approve the Reappointment of Gavin Gray as a Student Member to Serve a Second Term on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board From February 26, 2026, Through February 26, 2027.
Recommended Action
Option 1: Approve the reappointment of Gavin Gray as a Student Member to serve a second term on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board from February 26, 2026, through February 26, 2027, on the Consent Agenda.
Option 2: Deny the reappointment of Gavin Gray as a Student Member to serve a second term on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board from February 26, 2026, through February 26, 2027, on the Consent Agenda.
Background Information
Currently, there are four vacancies on Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk received one application from Gavin Gray on December 17, 2025, for reappointment to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Gavin Gray has been a resident of North Port for over 6 months and currently serves on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board as a Student Member appointed by the Commission. The application for Gavin Gray is submitted for the City Commission’s review and consideration.
There are no conflicts pursuant to Florida Statutes 112.3143.
