Recommended Action
Option 1: Approve the appointment of Doreen German as a Regular Member to serve a first term on the Environmental Advisory Board from February 10, 2026, through February 10, 2029, on the Consent Agenda.
Option 2: Deny the appointment of Doreen German as a Regular Member to serve a first term on the Environmental Advisory Board from February 10, 2026, through February 10, 2029, on the Consent Agenda.
Background Information
Currently, there are five vacancies on the Environmental Advisory Board. The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk has received one application from Doreen German for appointment to the Board on January 6, 2026. Doreen German has been a resident of North Port for over 6 months. The application for Doreen German is submitted for the City Commission’s review and consideration.
There are no conflicts pursuant to Florida Statutes 112.3143.
