Recommended Action

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Approving the Appointment of Tim A. Drumm or Tiffany Arnold as a Regular Member to Serve on the Community Economic Development Advisory Board From January 13, 2026, Through January 13, 2029.

City Commission Options

Option 1: Approve (insert applicant) to serve in the category of North Port resident.

Option 2: Deny the appointment of Tim A. Drumm and/or Tiffany Arnold.

Background Information

Currently, there are five vacancies on the Community Economic Development Advisory Board for:

1. North Port resident.
2. Higher education or unelected school board representative.
3. Tourism, sports, or entertainment.
4. Diversified light industrial/manufacturing.
5. Land use attorney.

The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk received one application from Tim A. Drumm on May 19, 2025 and one application from Tiffany Arnold on July 17, 2025 for appointment to the Board. At the time of their applications, there were no vacancies. Tim A. Drumm and Tiffany Arnold have been residents of North Port for over 6 months. Tim A. Drumm currently serves on the Environmental Advisory Board as a North Port Resident Appointed by Commission. Tiffany Arnold does not currently serve on any boards. The applications for Tim A. Drumm and Tiffany Arnold have been submitted for review and consideration.

There are no conflicts to note under Florida Statutes 112.3143.
