Recommended Action

Option 1: Approve Master Agreement Products and Services between the City of North Port, Florida, and Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) for the Geographic Information System (GIS) Software Subscription with a term of three years in the amount not to exceed $180,900.

City Commission Options

Option 1: Approve Master Agreement Products and Services between the City of North Port, Florida, and Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) for the Geographic Information System (GIS) Software Subscription with a term of three years in the amount not to exceed $180,900.

* Pros: The City will have continued City mapping services for employees and the public.
* Cons: Commits the City to a contractual obligation and costs for the duration of the Agreement.

Option 2: Deny the Master Agreement Products and Services between the City of North Port, Florida, and Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) for the Geographic Information System (GIS) Software Subscription with a term of three years in the amount not to exceed $180,900.

* Pros: Staff have not identified an advantage to denying the Master Agreement.
* Cons: The City will no longer have mapping and reporting functionality on multiple software platforms, affecting employees and the public.
