TITLE: A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of North Port, Florida, Granting a Non-Exclusive Permanent and Exclusive Temporary Construction Easements Located on a Portion of the Parcel Lying in Section 12, Township 40 South, Range 20 East, Sarasota County Florida, Property Appraiser Parcel Identification Numbers 0793-00-1010 and 0815-00-1010; Providing Various Easements; Providing for Incorporation of Recitals; Providing for Filing of Documents; Providing for Conflicts; Providing for Severability; and Providing an Effective Date.

City Commission Options
Option 1: Approve Resolution No. 2025-R-84, as presented.
* Pros: Allows the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority (PRMRWSA) Water Main Extension Project to proceed. The water main extension is a critical infrastructure project for PRMRWSA and Sarasota County.
* Cons: Approving the easement will allow PRMRWSA the ability to operate and maintain their infrastructure within the easement area, which will increase access to the land when maintenance and operations are needed on the pipeline.
Option 2: Deny Resolution No. 2025-R-84.
* Pros: Denying the easement will allow the City of North Port to maintain exclusive control over the entire property.
* Cons: Denial will delay the PRMRWSA water extension project timelines and could potentially cause a hardship for neighboring water systems, including Sarasota County.
Background Information
The Regional Integrated Loop System Phase 2B Pipeline is approximately 13-miles of 42" diameter pipe beginning near the western end of the existing Phase 2 Regional Interconnect and 36-inch diameter Charlotte County Regional Transmission Main (CCTM), near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Veterans Boulevard in Charlotte County.
