Recommended Action

Option 1: Approve the disposition of surplus fleet assets in an appropriate fashion pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.

City Commission Options

Option 1: Approve the disposition of surplus fleet assets in an appropriate fashion pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.

* Pros: Recovers value from aging fleet assets, reducing maintenance costs and frees up space and resources.
* Cons: The fleet assets will no longer be available as a fleet spare in case of unexpected equipment needs.
