Recommended Action

Approval of Third Amendment to Agreement No. 2017-40, Professional Design and Engineering Services for Warm Mineral Springs Park Master Plan, to Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., in the amount of $692,800.00, to provide construction plans and documents to facilitate a trail connection from Warm Mineral Springs Park to the North Port Connector of the Legacy Trail.

Background Information

During the January 28, 2025, City Commission Regular Meeting, Ordinance No. 2025-01 was approved on second reading amending the non-district budget and capital improvement budget for fiscal year 2024-2025. Included in Ordinance No. 2025-01 was $500,000 in Park Impact Fee funding to support Capital Improvement Project No. P24LTC Legacy Trail Connection to Warm Mineral Springs. With this funding in place, and the consolidation of funding from Project No. P22DPB Legacy Trail Extension Parking Enhancements, Project No. P24LTC is now fully funded to support professional design and engineering services for the development of a trailhead facility and multi-use trail connecting Warm Mineral Springs Park to the North Port Connector of the Legacy Trail.
