Background Information

During the Solid Waste District Governing Body Meeting held on July 14, 2020, the City Commission approved the development of a Solid Waste Transfer Station. To support the development of the Transfer Station, the Department of Public Works Solid Waste District has worked to secure land ownership for the future site located on Yorkshire Street and Silverleaf Road.

Public Works is requesting authorization to purchase real property, Parcel Identification Number 1128227623, currently owned by Oscar V. Bailon and Magaly P. Bailon. The Department of Public Works contracted American Acquisition Group to assist with the transaction to purchase this property. An Agreement has been reached with Mr. and Mrs. Bailon to sell the property to the Solid Waste District at the value of $15,000.00. Section 5., Earnest Money Deposit, within the Agreement for Purchase and Sale of Real Property is not applicable and was intentionally left blank.
