TITLE: Approve the Subrecipient Agreement Between Sarasota County, Florida, and the City of North Port, Florida, for Ponce de Leon Pathway Project in the Amount of $325,000 and Authorize the City Manager or the Mayor, as Applicable Under the City Charter, to Execute all Funding Documents After Legal Review.
Recommended Action
Approve the Subrecipient Agreement Between Sarasota County, Florida, and the City of North Port, Florida, for Ponce de Leon Pathway Project in the amount of $325,000 and authorize the City Manager or the Mayor, as applicable under the City Charter, to execute all funding documents after Legal review.
Background Information
The City of North Port has an Interlocal Agreement with Sarasota County for the receipt and use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. In October 2023 Sarasota County approved the use of CDBG funds for construction of a ten-foot wide multi-use path along the southeasterly right-of-way on Ponce de Leon Boulevard, from Skyview Drive to Hornbuckle Boulevard.
The Subrecipient Agreement Between Sarasota County, Florida, and the City of North Port, Florida, for Ponce de Leon Pathway Project has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.

This grant will reimburse the City up to $325,000 for the stipulated construction as per the Agreement. This project is R22SPD and the related account numbers are 107-5000-541.63-00 and 306-5000-541.63-00.
