Approve Work Assignment 2023-03PZ with Pritchett Steinbeck Group Inc. for the Activity Center 3 (Gateway) Master Plan, amount not to exceed $200,000.
Background Information
At its regular meeting on April 11, 2023, the City Commission directed staff to move forward with creating a project to prepare a master plan for Activity Center 3 (Gateway) in the area of the Sumter Blvd. and I-75 interchange. As directed, staff proceeded and worked to procure needed professional planning services for the project:
* August 15, 2023: Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) 2023-03 for the Activity Center 3 (Gateway Master Plan) to five firms under Continuing Contract 2022-13, General Planning Services, to secure professional planning services for the project.
* September 29, 2023: Two Letters of Interest were received.
* October 5, 2023: Letters of Interest were reviewed and evaluated by Development Services, Economic Development, and Public Works.
* October 19: Pritchett Steinbeck Group Inc. selected to proceed with the project under the fee schedule incorporated in their General Planning Services Contract 2022-13-03.
After careful review of the scope and fee for the project, Development Services recommends Pritchett Steinbeck Group Inc., be awarded Work Assignment 2023-03PZ for this project, in the amount not to exceed $200,000.
