TITLE: Statements of Support for State Legislative Funding for Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority Regional Water Projects
Recommended Action
Approve and execute the statements of support for State Legislative Funding for Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority regional water projects
Background Information
Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority (PRMRWSA) held their bi-monthly board meeting on October 4, 2023, where the board approved their submittal of two regional water projects for funding through the local funding initiatives in the House and Senate during this legislative session. In addition to approving the submittals, the Board requested that Authority members and customers provide a letter of support for each of these projects. Any state funding received for these projects would reduce the local cost share for the members and customers participating in the projects.
PRMRWSA has requested that the statement of support letters are executed and returned back to them so they can be prepared to submit their applications when the legislative session opens back up January 9, 2024.
