Background Information

During the City Commission Regular Meeting held on July 25, 2023, the Commission discussed the Public Private Partnership Pathway for the Warm Mineral Springs Park. At the conclusion of their discussion, a motion was made to continue to pursue a Public-Private Partnership (P3) for Warm Mineral Springs (WMS) as a pathway development.

To support evaluation of the development proposal received from Warm Mineral Springs Development Group, LLC, the City issued Request for Letter of Interest (RLI) No. 2023-11 for engineering services to complete a geotechnical investigation/survey of the proposed building areas to determine potential impact from the proposed development. Ardaman & Associates responded to the RLI No. 2023-11 and provided a scope and budget proposal to complete the requested work. The proposal includes an evaluation of the subsurface conditions within the proposed building areas relative to presence of potential underground feeder veins of the spring, cavities, sinkholes, or other conditions that could impact the proposed development utilizing ground penetrating radar, electrical resistivity testing and standard penetration borings.
