TITLE: Approval of Projects for 2024 State and Federal Legislative Funding Consideration.
Recommended Action
Approval of projects to be considered for 2024 State and Federal legislative funding.
Background Information
In preparation for the upcoming State and Federal legislative cycle, staff has sought City Commission direction on projects for legislative funding requests. During the September 5, 2023, City Commission Workshop, there was as consensus by the Commission to recommend that the following projects be considered for Legislative funding requests:
State and Federal:
Ø Price Boulevard Improvements
Ø Water and Sewer Service Expansion
Ø Bridge Improvements
Ø Water Control Structures
The following action items will be performed by the Grants Division staff:
Ø Evaluate the guidance on project submittal when it is released.
Ø Collaborate with Departments to prepare applications for projects that meet the criteria.
Ø No more than two requests will be submitted each for State and Federal, so that we are not in competition with our own projects.
Ø The Commission will be notified by memo of the projects submitted.
