TITLE: Approve the First Amendment to the Subrecipient Agreement Between Sarasota County, Florida and the City of North Port, Florida for the Greenwood Avenue Sidewalk Construction, Extending the Timeline
Recommended Action
Approve the First Amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient Agreement with Sarasota County for the Greenwood Avenue Sidewalk Construction, extending the timeline to May 1, 2024.
Background Information
The City of North Port has a Subrecipient Agreement with Sarasota County for the receipt and use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the Greenwood Avenue Sidewalk Construction. The grant was fully executed on December 13, 2022 and will reimburse the City up to $305,000 for construction costs.
Based on a number of factors including Hurricane Ian and its impact on areas near and about the construction area, the City has requested and been granted a timeline extension, setting a new project completion date for May 1, 2024.
The Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney for legal form.
