TITLE: Approve the Interagency User Agreement by and Between the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and the City of North Port, Florida on Behalf of the North Port Police Department for Criminal Justice Information Exchange and Use (FCIC/NCIC) During a System Failure or Center Evacuation.
Recommended Action
Approve the Interagency User Agreement by and between the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and the City of North Port, Florida on behalf of the North Port Police Department for Criminal Justice Information Exchange and Use (FCIC/NCIC) During a System Failure or Center Evacuation.
Background Information
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) presently has the benefit of the computer system that contains state and national Criminal Justice Information (“CJI”). North Port Police Department (NPPD) staff would like to utilize the SCSO system to access CJI. Pursuant to the SCSO’s User Agreement with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, interagency user agreements are required when access to CJI systems is provided to another agency.
This agreement will continue with automatic one-year renewal terms.
The agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
