Chair Felicita called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

Approval of Minutes for the May 25, 2022 Veterans Park Advisory

Wilson, to approve the Minutes as presented. The motion carried on the following

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Statue Ideas  
Chair Felicita announced the item.  
Mr. Nelson spoke to his discussion with the Art Advisory Board Staff Liaison.  
Discussion took place regarding the Art Advisory Board's July and August meetings and  
nominations for Board Member attendance.  
A motion was made by Board Member English to nominate Board Member Wilson  
to attend the Art Advisory Board meeting in August.  
Board Member English withdrew his motion.  
There was consensus to nominate Chair Felicita and Board Member Wilson to  
attend the July and August Art Advisory Board meetings on behalf of the  
Committee.

Discussion Regarding the Cost and Type of Pavers for Purchase  
Chair Felicita announced the item.  
Discussion took place regarding paver options, North Port Tribute Program donation  
application, donor renewal process, responsibility of donation item replacements and  
repairs, placement, examples, cost of donation pavers and engravement, and levels of  
sponsorship.  
There was consensus to continue Item No. 22-3113 to the next available meeting.  
Discussion on Tracking of Funding Using the Sponsorship Program  
Chair Felicita announced the item.  
Mr. Nelson spoke to placement of funds.  
Discussion took place regarding funding account placement, sponsorship application and  
criteria, and current amount of funds for the Park.  
No action was taken on this item.  
Discussion of Completed Habitat and Protected Species Survey  
Chair Felicita announced the item.  
Mr. Nelson spoke to the results of the January 2022 environmental survey.  
Discussion took place regarding future property surveys and possible gopher tortoise  
burrows on the property.  
No action was taken on this item.

Jeff Nelson: Veterans Park Update for the June 28, 2022 Commission  
Meeting  
Chair Felicita announced the item.  
Mr. Nelson spoke to topics to be discussed at the upcoming Commission meeting.

Future agenda items include implementing a sponsorship program, photo examples of  
pavers, and designing the Park to scale.  
There was no public comment.  
Discussion took place regarding finalizing the Park name.
