Mayor White announced the item and called on the City Clerk to read by title only.
Mr. Powell read the Ordinance by title only.
Mr. Fletcher introduced the item.
Chief Titus spoke to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), storm update, evacuation,
and emergency services lockdown.
Mr. Fletcher spoke to potential meeting schedule adjustments.
Commission questions and discussion took place regarding potential rainfall, time
sensitive items, terminology, meeting rescheduling procedure, and state of emergency.
A motion was made by Commissioner McDowell, seconded by Vice Mayor Stokes,
to adopt Ordinance No. 2024-41 as presented. The motion carried on the following
vote:

Recess was taken from 10:18 a.m. to 10:28 a.m.
Mr. Fletcher and Mr. Powell spoke to rescheduling October 8th meeting.
Commission questions and discussion continued regarding meeting rescheduling
procedure.
A motion was made by Commissioner McDowell, seconded by Vice Mayor Stokes,
to postpone the Commission Regular meeting on October 8, 2024 to October 22,
2024 at 10 a.m. The motion carried on the following vote:
