Mayor White called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and provided required notifications  
regarding conducting a hybrid meeting.  
Commissioner Emrich stated he will be attending the hybrid meeting via Communications  
Media Technology (CMT) due to experiencing a medical condition.  
A motion was made by Commissioner Langdon, seconded by Vice Mayor Stokes,  
to accept the use of CMT for a hybrid meeting. The motion carried on the following

to approve the July 11, 2024, May 28, 2024 and April 23, 2024 as presented and the  
May 14, 2024 as amended to correct the vote on Think Tank discussion to reflect  
Commissioner McDowell’s vote to state “yes”. The motion carried on the following

owners.

on the citizens and taxpayers of already existing areas.”

address, to be completed prior to the effective date of the ordinance.

staff, funding, Accella funding, alternative notification, and cost.

to adopt Ordinance No. 2024-24 as presented. The motion carried on the following

Conflicts; Providing for Severability; Providing for Codification; and  
Providing an Effective Date.

Ms. Faust read the Ordinance by title only.

RESOLUTION:  
A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of North Port, Florida,  
Amending City Commission Policy No. 2021-05 Related to City  
Commission Meeting Schedules, Notices and Agendas; Providing for  
Findings, Providing for Conflicts, Providing for Severability; and Providing  
an Effective Date.  
Mayor White announced the item and called on the City Clerk to read by title only.  
Ms. Faust read the Resolution by title only.  
Mr. Fletcher introduced the item.  
Commission questions and discussion took place regarding consent agenda vote,  
discussion after motions, and process for reopening public hearings.  
Ms. Slayton spoke to the policy revisions that would need to be made.  
Commission questions and discussion continued regarding past practices.

Commission agenda.

to adopt Resolution No. 2024-R-30 as presented. The motion carried on the

motion was made by Commissioner McDowell, seconded by Commissioner  
Langdon, to direct the City Clerk to bring back Commission Policy No. 2021-05  
relating to meetings and schedules to discuss public commenter's suggestions, at a  
date to be determined. The motion carried on the following vote:
