Chair Mannino called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Approval of Minutes for the May 9, 2023 Art Advisory Board Meeting.

A motion was made by Board Member Loos, seconded by Vice Chair Rathgeber,  
to approve the Minutes as presented. The motion carried unanimously by voice  
vote.  
6. Unfinished Business

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding the City's 65th Anniversary  
and Community of Unity Themed Project.

Chair Mannino announced the item.  
Ms. Mendelson introduced the item and provided a brief summary.  
Board discussion took place regarding banners from Bayshore for Embracing are  
Differences and dates for Living Arts Festival.  
There was consensus to have the staff liaison come back with dates for the City's  
65th Anniversary.

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding the Placement of Artwork  
Near Walgreen’s in Heron Creek.

Discussion took place regarding presentation and design, plaque for described art work,  
art fund, and budget.  
Ms. Mendelson to follow up with Board Member Gozion on the status of the status of  
this presenters on a look and feel.

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding the Art Advisory Board's  
Project Status Report.

Chair Mannino announced the item.  
Ms. Mendelson introduced the item as well as provided an update and will reach out to  
the Board if she receives any feedback from Commission on this item.  
Discussion took place regarding Commission expectations on timeline and Commission  
directives.

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Commission's Direction  
Pertaining to a Mural at the Community Education Center.

Chair Mannino announced the item.  
Ms. Mendelson introduced the item and provided an update, handed out the new  
proposal for Pucci Mural, and cost breakdown.  
Discussion took place regarding location and size of wall, measurements, tree  
obstruction and trimming, Awaken Church, City building, price differences, hourly rates,  
cost for supplies, and The Garden of Five Senses.  
A
motion was made by Vice Chair Rathgeber, seconded by Chair Mannino, to  
choose the Pucci Mural proposal. The motion carried by the following vote:

Discussion took place regarding visiting the Wellness Center for the proposed mural.

Ms. Mendelson introduced the item and provided an update on discussion with Utilities  
and Public Works Departments, utility boxes, wrap material used on boxes, and eligible  
boxes.

Upcoming Events and Programs with the North Port Art Center (Dee  
Dee Gozion).

Chair Mannino announced the item.  
Ms. Mendelson provided an update from Board Member Gozion that the North Port Art  
Center is working towards pursuing an instructor agreement with North Port Parks and  
Recreation Department to teach their Arts & Recreation program.
