Chair Jameson called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Murphy, to approve the Minutes as presented. The motion carried unanimously

timeline.

Murphy, to conduct joint meeting with the Environmental Advisory Board

during the June 3, 2024 Environmental Advisory Board Meeting.  
Discussion continued regarding topics, scheduling conflicts, attendance, and providing  
public comment at the May 6, 2024 Environmental Advisory Board Meeting.  
The motion carried unanimously by voice vote.

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding the Purchase of Kirk Park  
Adjacent Property

Chair Jameson announced the item.  
Ms. Sturgess provided  
a
presentation including property map, location, parcel  
identification, and purchasing options.  
Discussion took place regarding Sarasota County involvement, parking usage, and  
acquisition potential.  
A
motion was made by Vice Chair Jackomin, seconded by Board Member  
Morgan, to recommend adding the two properties on Porto Bello Avenue  
adjacent to Kirk Park to the Sarasota County property acquisition list and to  
continue to pursue the properties regardless if it is defined as one or two  
properties in the geographic information system (GIS) Map. The motion carried  
unanimously by voice vote.

Discussion took place regarding Commission role in parkland acquisition, splash pad  
implementation, and Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies  
(CAPRA).
