Mayor White called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

Presentation to Provide Commission with an Update on the  
Enforcement of Regulations Regarding Trespassing on Public Property  
and on the Homeless Outreach Team Efforts.

Mayor White announced the item.  
Mr. Fletcher introduced the item.  
Captain King provided  
a
presentation including overview, questions, individual  
homelessness definition, analysis, enforcement model, policing contacts, camp  
locations, engagement, and relocation concerns.  
Commission questions and discussion took place regarding shelters, enforcement,  
warrants, repeat offenders, 211 services, transitional housing, residents verse migrate,  
wait-list, shelter rejection, and hot bunks.  
Ms. Carrillo spoke to Sarasota County Housing Authority HomeShare Program.  
Captain King continued his presentation including trespass on public property, appeal  
process, storage and removal of personal property, trespass statistics, and initiatives.  
Joe Polzak, Fournier, Connolly, Shamsey, Mladinich  
& Polzak, P.A., responded to  
Commission questions regarding House Bill regulating camping/lodging.  
Commission questions and discussion continued regarding enforcement, and county  
assistance, and trespassing.

Mr. Fletcher introduced the item.  
Mr. Bartolone spoke to the item.  
Ms. Ansel provided a presentation including overview, history, goals, brand strategy,  
visual identity, timeline, key benefits, and staff recommendations.  
Commission questions and discussion took place regarding the branding disconnect,  
updated logos, city needs, target audience, Community of Unity, cost, value, current  
logo.
