TITLE:                     Approve Work Assignment 2024-05 with Stantec Consulting Services Inc.,  in the Amount of $168,080.00, for the City of North Port’s America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) Updated Risk and Resilience Assessment and Emergency Response Plan Project

 

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve Work Assignment 2024-05 with Stantec Consulting Services Inc., in the amount of $168,080.00, for the City of North Port’s America’s Water Infrastrucure Act (AWIA) Updated Risk and Resilience Assessment and Emergency Response Plan Project.

 

Background Information

 

It is the intention of North Port Utilities (NPU) to secure professional engineering services to conduct, on behalf of NPU, an update to the 2020 Risk and Resilience Assessment (RRA), to provide assistance in the certification of the assessment to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA),and prepare an update to the 2020 Emergency Response Plan (ERP) based on the RRA, and certification of the ERP to EPA.

 

Ø                     October 23, 2023: Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) 2024-05 for the City of North Port’s (AWIA) Updated Risk and Resilience Assessment and Emergency Response Plan Project was issued to the eight firms under Category 3 of Continuing Contract 2020-58 to secure professional engineering services to update the RRA and ERP for the project required by EPA.

Ø                     December 1, 2023: One (1) Non-Submittal Form was received.

Ø                     December 5, 2023: Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) 2024-05 for the City of North Port’s (AWIA) Updated Risk and Resilience Assessment and Emergency Response Plan Project was re-issued to the eight firms under Category 3 of Continuing Contract 2020-58 to secure professional engineering services to update the RRA and ERP for the project required by EPA.

Ø                     January 8, 2024: Two (2) Letters of Interest were received and evaluated.

Ø                     January 19, 2024: Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. was selected to proceed with development of a scope and fee schedule.

 

After careful review of the scope and fee for the project, Utilities recommends Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. be awarded Work Assignment 2024-05 for this project, in the amount of $168,080.00.
