Background Information
During the Road and Drainage District Meeting Governing Body Meeting held on November 23, 2021, the City Commission approved Request for Bid (RFB) No. 2022-02 for the right of way mowing, trimming, and litter removal with Walkers Service, Inc., in the estimated amount of $460,194.00, including locations No. 1 and 2 only.
The City Manager approved the first one-year renewal, effective October 1, 2022, of RFB No. 2022-02 right of way mowing to Walkers Service, Inc. This first renewal included an increase of 8% on all items bringing the Contract amount to $497,009.52.
Per the Contract, the Contractor will perform eight (8) cycles of mowing services on arterials and collectors and six (6) cycles of mowing services on local roads and drainage rights of ways of public roadways and public drainage systems within the City of North Port. The services will be provided in the following locations:
> Arterials and Collectors: (All main roads within the project boundaries as shown on Map 1 and Map 2): March, May, June, July, August, September, October, and December.
