Approve Resolution No. 2024-R-7 as presented.
Background Information
The Department of Public Works is seeking to purchase property located on Targee Avenue currently owned by Nelson and Renee Miller; Parcel Identification No. 0980036943. This property acquisition will provide access to Retention Ditch 140 (R-140) and enable permanent access for future maintenance and rehabilitation of the stormwater conveyance system. Public Works has worked with Florida Acquisition and Appraisal, Inc. to purchase this property. An agreement has been reached with Mr. and Mrs. Miller to sell their property to the North Port Road and Drainage District for $42,000.00. This parcel was appraised at $40,000.
Resolution No. 2024-R-07 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.

Procurement
