Approve the Award of the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Disc Golf Course Development Project to Jon F. Swift Construction in the amount of $149,912.00.

Background Information

The following provides a chronological order of events for the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Disc Golf Course Development Project:

> January 22, 2021: Requests for Quotes (RFQ) No. 2021-19 Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Disc Golf Course Development was issued. Quotes were due February 12, 2021. One submittal was received, and it was $40,000 over the project budget of $50,000. Therefore, the submittal was rejected, and the solicitation was cancelled.

> June 2021: During the City Commission Budget Workshops by consensus, the Commission approved an additional $100,000 in funding from a Surtax allocation for the Disc Golf Course Project.

> December 8, 2021: With the additional project funding in place for Fiscal Year 2022, Requests for Letters of Interest (RLI) No. 2022-03 was developed and issued. Submittals were due on January 14, 2022. Two deadline extensions were advertised, and on February 1, 2022, no submittals were received in response to the solicitation. Following the lack of responses, a request to cancel the RLI was prepared. When fewer than two responsive and responsible bids or proposals are received following any solicitation, in accordance with the Code of the City of North Port, Florida, the City reserves the right to reject all bids and proposals and to negotiate with any responsible provider to secure the best terms and conditions in the interest of the City.
