TITLE: Approval of Carl Goodrich as a Regular Member of the Environmental Advisory Board to Serve a Two-Year Term From June 28, 2022, to June 28, 2024.
Recommended Action
Approve Carl Goodrich as a Regular Member of the Environmental Advisory Board to Serve a Two-Year Term from June 28, 2022, to June 28, 2024.
Background Information
Currently, there is one vacancy for a Regular Member, two vacancies for Alternates, and two vacancies for Youth Members on the Environmental Advisory Board. The vacancies have been announced as required. The City Clerk has received one application from Carl Goodrich. Mr. Goodrich has been a resident of North Port for over 12 months and does not presently serve on any Board or Committee.
Previously, Mr. Goodrich served on the Art Advisory Board (2019) and the Community Economic Development Advisory Board (2021). In 2019 Mr. Goodrich was on the Art Advisory Board from May to September and of five meetings held, he only attended once. He was removed from the board on September 29, 2019. He was also removed from the Economic Development Advisory Board due to lack of attendance (spreadsheet attached). There have been no prior voting conflict disclosures on file with the City by said applicant in accordance with Florida Statutes 112.3143(6).
