TITLE:                     North Port Educational Center Tenant Lease Agreement with Salvation Army - Venice Corps in the amount of $2,400.

Recommended Action

Approve the Tenant Lease Agreement with the Salvation Army - Venice Corps for a term of one year, effective October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017, at a cost of $200/month for an annual lease of $2,400.

Background Information

The Salvation Army - Venice Corps provides financial assistance and distributes food from their food pantry Monday through Friday at the North Port Education Center.

The lease amount of $200/per month is unchanged from the current lease agreement. A provision has been incorporated in the terms of the lease to allow tenants to automatically renew after the initial term.  It also provides the commission with the ability to increase rents after proper notice.

The 2016-2017 Tenant Lease Agreement has been reviewed and revised by the City Attorney’s Office.
