TITLE:                     Family Service Center Tenant Lease Agreement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, Inc. in the amount of $1,680.

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve the Tenant Lease Agreement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, Inc., for a term of one year, effective October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 to provide 120 square feet of furnished office space (B112) in the Family Service Center at a cost of $14/sq. ft. for an annual lease of $1,680, or 12 monthly payments of $140.00.

 

 

Background Information

 

This will be the eighth year that Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast has been providing services at the Family Service Center. Their program helps children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with measureable impact. Children receive mentoring services through our community and school based mentoring programs.

 

The lease amount of $14/sq. ft. is unchanged from the current lease agreement. A provision has been incorporated in the terms of the lease to allow tenants to automatically renew after the initial term.  It also provides the commission with the ability to increase rents after proper notice. 

 

The 2016-2017 Tenant Lease Agreement has been reviewed and revised by the City Attorney’s Office.
