Background Information
The City advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) 2016-32 Professional Surveying Services to procure regular surveying services to conduct land grading, pipes, land acquisition, small building construction, road work, and utility work to be utilized by various City Departments.
Work Assignment PW-2019-01 for professional line and grade surveys for permitting residential and commercial driveway culverts was approved by the City Manager on October 1, 2018, for $90,000. For October 2018 - May 2019 $68,800 has been spent for the line and grade surveys for driveway culverts. Based on year-to-date activity, costs for line and grade surveys for June - September 2019 are projected to be $38,240, totaling $107,040 for fiscal year 2019.
Staff is requesting to increase the work assignment amount by $20,000 to cover the estimated costs for the remainder of fiscal year 2019, bringing the work assignment total to $110,000. The requested work assignment amount is $2,960 higher than the projected $107,040 total to provide funds if more than the estimated number of line and grade survey sets are needed through September 30, 2019.
All Work Assignments $100,000 or more require Commission approval.
