Background Information
Bids received for Request for Bid (RFB) No. 2019-62 were opened on May 10, 2019. Four (4) construction companies responded with RJP Enterprises being the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Contract will consist of various removal and replacement of bridge railings within the City. The following are the locations of the eleven (11) bridges that are included under this Contract:

Most of the existing bridge railings do not comply with current FDOT Design Standards. In addition, they are constructed of steel and are severely corroded and failing. The new bridge railings will be constructed of aluminum; painted City Center Green and will be compliant with FDOT Design Standards.
Work shall commence on, or immediately after, August 5, 2019, and shall be completed within 180 calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
The City Attorney has approved Contract No. 2019-62 Bridge Maintenance Project - FDOT Aluminum Railing to RJP Enterprises, Inc. as to form and correctness.
