Recommended Action
Approve 2020 City of North Port State and Federal Legislative Priorities.
Background Information
The City of North Port monitors State legislation throughout the year to identify funding and other opportunities to ensure that the needs of the community are met. The City Commission reviews and adopts legislative priorities in preparation for the State Legislative session.
Attached are the 2019 legislative priorities the Commission considered. The Commission can add, delete, or modify the list as it deems appropriate.
The adopted priorities will be submitted to the Sarasota County Legislative Delegation after adoption by the Commission.
Attached is a presentation of a Legislative Update from the 2019 Legislative session.
