Background Information
There is currently one vacancy on the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board. The vacancy has been announced at the Commission Regular Meetings from March 7, 2017 through May 23, 2017. The City Clerk’s Office has received two applications and there are no other applications pending. The first applicant is John Metzger. Mr. Metzger has been a resident of the City of North Port for 13 years and is currently serving on the Public Utility Advisory Board but has stated that he would resign to be appointed to the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board. Mr. Metzger was formerly a member of the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board and has been waiting for the one year time period so that he could apply to serve on that board again. The second applicant is Kevin Rouse. Mr. Rouse has been a resident of the City of North Port for 17 ½ years and is not currently serving on any other Boards or Committees. The Applications for Mr. Metzger and Mr. Rouse have been attached for your review and consideration.
