Background Information

Paint the Town Purple is an activity of the American Cancer Society that gives power to the community to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost, and take action to eliminate cancer as a major health problem.

Money raised during Paint the Town Purple of North Port supports the American Cancer Society’s efforts to help free the world from the pain and suffering of cancer by providing free information and support for people facing the disease today, educating people about how to reduce their risk for cancer or detect it early when it’s the easiest to treat, and funding cancer research that will help protect future generations.

Paint the Town Purple celebrates the nearly 14.5 million cancer survivors in the U.S. and encourages North Port citizens to help save lives from cancer by participating in the PAINT THE TOWN PURPLE activities April 16th, 2017 - May 1st, 2017.
