FROM:                      Peter D. Lear, CPA, CGMA, Interim City Manager

TITLE:                     Notification Services Subscription Agreement with OnSolve, LLC for the CodeRED Emergency Notification System for an annual amount of $7,000.00.

Recommended Action

Approve the Notification Services Subscription Agreement with OnSolve, LLC for the CodeRED Emergency Notification System in the amount of $7,000.00.

Background Information

Emergency Communications Network, provider of the CodeRED emergency notification system, has been acquired by OnSolve, LLC.  OnSolve is reviewing all client agreements and has identified a need to update the City’s agreement, which was originally signed in 2006.

Staff has worked with OnSolve to draft an agreement to incorporate all current services, add periodic maintenance support, and provide a reduction in the number of minutes automatically purchased when our initial block of minutes is exhausted.  This last action will save the City thousands of dollars when/if additional minutes need to be purchased.

The City Attorney has approved as to form and content.

Strategic Plan

Financially Responsible City Providing Quality Municipal Services.

Financial Impact

Minimal reduction of costs due to the consolidation of authorized users.  The new cost of the annual agreement is $7,000.  Sufficient funding has been budgeted in the FY 2017-18 budget, which is allocated among five user departments.

Police Department - $1,460

Road & Drainage District - $1,430

Solid Waste District - $1,430

Fire Rescue District - $1,430

Utilities - $1,460

Procurement

Commission approved the original agreement in June 2006, which included automatic renewal beginning October 1st of each year.  The amended agreement has the same renewal provisions.
