TITLE: Interlocal Agreement with Sarasota County regarding Escheated Lots
Recommended Action
Approve the Interlocal Agreement with Sarasota County
Background Information
Sarasota County contacted the City staff with a list of lots that have been escheated that are in the City of North Port. City staff reviewed the list of lots for any the City could use. After reviewing the list, the selected lots were submitted to the County to be transferred to the City. The list of lots being conveyed to the City from the County is included in Exhibit 3 of the attached interlocal agreement. The remaining lots will be disposed of in accordance with the terms of the agreement with the proceeds to be used for affordable housing.
The attached agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney for form and correctness.
