Recommended Action

 

Approve City Clerk Contract.

 

Background Information

 

On October 1, the City Commission interviewed candidates for the City Clerk position.  At the conclusion of the interviews, the City Commission voted to offer the position of City Clerk to Kathryn Peto.  The Commission directed the City Manager and City Attorney to offer the position and bring back a contract for the City Clerk with Kathryn Peto based on the previous contracts with the Deputy City Clerk, City Attorney and City Manager.  Commission also directed that the salary be set at $95,679.28, which is the base of the pay range for the City Clerk position.  Based on the CPI adjustments to the pay ranges effective October 1, 2018, the new base of the pay range is $97,114.58.  The contract presented has been based on the adjusted salary amount.
