TITLE:                     Discussion and Possible Action, Potential Appointment of a Commission Liaison to the ULDC Rewrite Process

 

Background Information

The project to review and rewrite the City's Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) is now underway. A Public Participation Plan is due in November, which will include ways to keep the Commission informed throughout the process. In a recent call with the consultant team, they suggested the option of having a Commissioner serve as a liaison to the process. The Liaison would attend meetings throughout the process to observe, learn, and participate, enabling them to keep track of the progress and provide status updates to the rest of the Commission during Commission Reports.

 

This approach would keep the Commission informed and help move the process forward in a more orderly fashion as items are brought before the Commission for discussion.
