TITLE: Memorandum of Agreement between the Salvation Army and the City of North Port for the City to coordinate services for households applying for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assistance.
Recommended Action
Approve the Memorandum of Agreement between The Salvation Army, a Georgia Corporation, and the City of North Port, for a term of one-year, effective April 1, 2018, to coordinate services for households applying for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program assistance.
Background Information
The City and the Salvation Army have collaborated to assist citizens within our community who are struggling financially. The attached Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) allows the City to continue providing financial assistance through the LIHEAP funding for the period of April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2019.
This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney’s Office.
