Recommended Action
Approve the Family Service Center Tenant Lease Agreement with Literacy Volunteers of Sarasota County (LVSSC) in the amount of $1,736.04 annually.
Background Information
Literacy Volunteers of Sarasota County would like to provide client services at the Family Service Center. The literacy volunteers train volunteers, interview adults who request services, match tutors with adult students and provide textbooks along with other training materials. In addition, they offer on-going support for tutors and students. Tutoring services include citizenship and English classes one-to-one tutoring, computer based instruction and resources for coordinators and tutors.
The term shall be effective one year beginning July 1, 2017. The lease agreement will provide 124 square feet of furnished office space (B111) in the Family Service Center at a cost of $14/sq. ft. for an annual lease of $1,736.04 or 12 monthly payments of $144.67.
