TITLE: Accept a $1,000.00 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
Recommended Action
Accept grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County in the amount of $1,000.00. The grant is given to various agencies to offset operating costs associated with internal clients.
Background Information
The annual Season of Sharing campaign raises money from the community to help individuals and families who are on the verge of homelessness to stay in their homes. The City of North Port acts as an agent in distributing those funds through the General Services Department, Division of Social Services.
In appreciation, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County presented a $1,000.00 one-time grant to the City of North Port, General Services Department, Division of Social Services, to cover operating costs.
