TITLE: Discussion and possible approval of the license agreement with the Atlanta Braves for the use of the spring training facility for 3 city events and the use of the Plaza and the Multipurpose Fields for city sponsored recreational programs.
Recommended Action
Approve the license agreement with the Atlanta Braves.
Background Information
The attached License / Use Agreement is between the City and the Atlanta National League Baseball Club. It allows the City to use the spring training facility for 3 city events per year and the use of the Plaza and the Multipurpose Fields for city sponsored events when there is no conflict with the teams use of the facility.
No specific cost is attributable to this license agreement. The City’s costs with the development of the facility will be addressed and specified in an interlocal agreement between the West Villages Improvement District and the City of North Port later in time.
